THE FIFA 11+ : A COMPREHENSIVE WARM UP PROGRAMME TO PREVENT INJURIES IN FOOTBALL

Welcome to this resource page for the FIFA11+  comprehensive warm-up programme to prevent injuries in football.


PREAMBLE

The FIFA11+ is an evidence-based basic neuromuscular exercise programme developed by a group of experts facilitated by the FIFA Medical Assessment and Research Centre (F-MARC) to minimise the risks of non-contact lower limb injuries in football.

The efficacy of the programme has been proven in an array of scientific studies reducing injury rates by up to 50%.


The burden of injuries in football participation is of public health concern. Injury prevention is a paradigm shift that we all need to adopt as a way of life.



The programme is divided into three Parts with 3 levels of progression.

Part 1: Running Exercises. Made up of 6 exercises
Part 2. Strenght, plyometrics and balance. Made up of 5 exercises. 3 levels  and progression.
Part 3. Running exercises. Made up of 4 exercises
